Why San Miguel de Allende?
San Miguel de Allende brings together history, culture, and beauty in a way that feels timeless. It is a city with stunning architecture and rich spirit and it invites connection, joy, and slowing down—everything we hope this weekend encapsulates.
What is the closest airport to fly into?
The closest airport is Queretaro (QRO) which is located approximately 60 minutes by car from San Miguel de Allende. Leon/Bajilo (BJX) is another good option (75-90 minutes by car). Both airports have nonstop or one-stop options from most U.S. airports. Mexico City is also an option with more direct flights, but closer to 3.5 hours by car. We don’t recommend connecting here to QRO or BJX, but rather hiring a car or shuttle service. By the time you clear customs, recheck your bag, and make your connecting flight, you’d be halfway to SMA! See the “travel” page for more details.
What will the weather be like in San Miguel de Allende in March?
In mid-March, San Miguel usually has pleasant, warm days and cool evenings. Average daytime temperatures range from the upper 70s to low 80s °F, however mornings and nights can be cooler, around the upper 40s to low 50s °F.
How do I get around once I’m there?
San Miguel de Allende is very walkable, and taxis and rideshare options are readily available.
Where should we stay?
Hotel recommendations and/or room block(s) to follow!
Where should I go if I want to extend my trip?
Many guests choose to turn the wedding into a longer getaway. San Miguel de Allende is well connected to other destinations in Central Mexico, such as Mexico City, making it easier to extend your trip before or after the wedding. (And we really recommend visiting Mexico City!!)
